Miguel Angel Rodríguez (M’06) was born in San Sebastian, Spain, in 1966. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, in 1992 and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain, in 2000. In 1992, he joined the Electronics Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Mondragon, Mondragon, Spain, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests include electrical machines modeling and control, especially for the single and doubly fed asynchronous machines, and voltage source inverters control. He participated in different research projects in the field of wind energy systems, lift drives, and railway traction.
